We have seen Adobe talk about Flash 10.1 on Windows Phone 7 on a number of occasions, after abandoning their work on Windows Mobile. The time scales have always been pretty fuzzy, and more recently it has been very clear the platform will ship without Flash capability.
Michael Chaize, a Flash Platform evangelist based in Paris, has now stated the software will come to Windows Phone 7 â€œwithin monthsâ€ of the release of the actual OS itself, and likely in the first 6 months after release.
While Flash holds the further promise of accessing content meant for the desktop, the difference between the mouse and keyboard paradigm of the desktop and the inaccurate multi-touch of the smartphone world remains an issue.
Chaize has however said Adobe intends to release Flash controls specifically designed for mobile use, but this will of course take us back to content designed for mobile use and content that was not.
