Among its new PCs launched today, Acer has launched new devices aimed at road warriors with the Acer TravelMate P614-51.
The TravelMate laptop is a thin and light ultrabook aimed at users who are going to be travelling everywhere and need a laptop that fits in their briefcase, can last for days without recharging, and can take a hit and keep on trucking. Acer’s TravelMate can allegedly hit up to 2 days of active use. In terms of durability, the firm claims this PC “complies with MIL-STD 810G, 810F, a set of U.S. military-grade tests that check the durability of a wide range of products.”
This means it can withstand being dropped from reasonable heights, resist, rain, humidity and extreme heat or cold. Acer has built this laptop to be very durable, but it still keeps itself thin and light at 2.4 pounds and 0.6 inches thick.
It’s not winning any beauty pageants, but if you’re looking for something that doesn’ t need much babysitting, this one might be for you.
