Acer is introducing a new gaming laptop at Gamescom today. The company showed off the new Nitro 5 Spin, a “casual” gaming laptop for those looking to get a decent gaming experience on the go. The company’s new gaming laptop comes with Intel’s recently announced 8th gen processors. The device features a 15.6-inch full HD IPS display, which is just about fine for casual gaming but obviously won’t be fit for those looking to get a much better gaming experience on the go. The device also comes with Intel’s 8th gen processors, which should offer slightly improved performance than the previous generation.
For the GPU, Acer has packed the GeForce GTX 1050 into the Nitro 5 Spin with GDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of PCIe SSD for the internal storage. “The Acer Nitro 5 Spin is a great Windows 10 PC for casual gamers. The convertible 2-in-1 is flexible, lightweight and powerful enough for a good gaming experience, and with Windows 10 and access to Microsoft’s productivity applications and services, it’s a great multipurpose PC at an affordable price.” said Peter Han, the Vice President of Partner Devices and Solutions at Microsoft.
Acer’s Nitro 5 Spin will be available in North America starting at $999, it will also be available in the EMEA starting at €1,199 this October.
