Acer announces new gaming notebooks, desktops, and more

During today’s [email protected] press conference, the hardware company unveiled several new products in its lineup of gaming notebooks and desktops. All of these new products will be powered by Windows 10, as is the usual case, and will include built-in Mixer streaming capabilities.

Predator Helios 500 Notebook

The Predator Helios 500 Notebook (seen above) features a 17.3″ 4K UHD display, supporting up to 144Hz refresh rates for a smoother gaming experience. It can come equipped with up to overclockable 8th Gen Intel Core i9+ processors and overclockable NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 GPUs. It also houses 64GB of memory.

Predator Helios 500 gaming notebooks will be available in North America in June starting at $1,999. Exact specs and prices will vary by region.

Predator Helios 300 Special Edition

Those looking for a notebook to offset the usual black/red schemes of gaming hardware can look no further. The Helios 300 Special Edition features an all-white aluminum chassis accented with gold trim. It’s a little smaller than the Helios 500 with a 15.6″ display, but it is also capable of 144Hz refresh rates. You can get up to an 8th Gen Intel Core i7+ processor and overclockable NVIDIA GTX 1060 GPUs. It features 16GB of DDR4 memory, upgradable to 32GB.

Pricing and release dates were not announced.

Predator Orion 5000 Gaming Desktops

The new line of Predator Orion 5000 Series gaming desktops feature up to 8th Gen Intel Core i7+ 8700K processors and up to 2-way NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GPUs. The side panels are easy to open so you can quickly swap out parts at your leisure without any hassle.

Predator Orion 5000 gaming desktops will be available in North America in July starting at $1,499. Once again, exact specs and pricing will vary by region.

Predator Orion 3000 Series

Similar to the Predator Orion 5000 series, the Orion 3000 series can be purchased with up to 8th Gen Intel Core i7+ processors and up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GPUs. It is VR-ready and supports 4K gameplay with 64GB of DDR4 RAM. The tower touts excellent airflow and heat dissipation with a front-facing intake LED fan, mesh cover, and rear exhaust.

Predator Orion 3000 gaming desktops will be available in North America in October starting at $999.

Acer Nitro 50 Desktops

Described as performance PCs, this lineup comes with up to 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processors and up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 GPUs. Nitro 50 desktops can support up to four displays simultaneously and deliver 4K visuals. These desktops also optimize network speed for gaming, browsing, and streaming through Realtek Dragon LAN.

Acer Nitro 50 gaming desktops will be available in North America in July starting at $799.
