Google may finally be launching a Pixel Watch after years of speculation at its October 15 event next week. As per a report from Nikkei Asian Review, the firm plans to launch these alongside a budget Pixel and a 5G Pixel sometime between now and Spring 2020.

Google was rumoured to be working on a Pixel Watch years ago, eventually killing the project. This new report contradicts an earlier report from Business Insider that no Wear OS device was expected from the firm next week.

Indeed, it’s hard to see why anyone would hop into the smartwatch business now. While the Apple Watch has taken off, Android smartwatches have been less successful. Much like with tablets, the only one really putting an effort here is Samsung For Google who really wants users to buy into their exosystem, Samsung; scouter offer pf Bixby must chafe.

The Pixel Watch, if it launches, will be running Wear OS and likely be advertised as an accessory for the Pixel 4, alongside a pair of rumoured new Pixel Buds.
