6tag 4.1 will bring improved image quality and phablet support

If you’re using Instagram on Windows Phone, chances are that you’re using 6tag (and if you’re not, you should be). The app, while superior to the original Instagram application on Windows Phone suffers from some degree of image quality loss when compared to the iOS app and the Android app albeit to a lesser degree on the latter.
Windows Phone Lumiagraphers can now breathe a sigh of relief as Rudy Huyn just revealed a few details about the upcoming 6tag 4.1 update. The first tidbit dropped was that of the improved image quality support. Huyn posted some comparative images between 6tag 4.0.6, Instagram (forever) Beta and 6tag 4.1 to showcase the improved image support of the latter. You can find it here.

The other new feature is the addition of phablet support. Therefore fonts and icons will no longer appear large on phablets like the 1520, 1320 and 640 XL.

We’ll have more on 6tag 4.1 when it comes out, in the meantime, let us know how you’re getting on with 6tag 4.0 in the comments.
