Rudy Huyn’s Vine app, which shares a code base with his Instagram app 6tag, has seen an update which incorporate some of the changed in the other app also.
New in version 1.3 is NFC Sharing, where a post can be shared with other Windows Phone and Android users, and the ability to reply to comments.
The update also incorporates the new Privacy and Security changes introduced with 6tag, showing another advantage of the common code-base approach.
Other changes include:
- A new keyboard to quickly access the # and @ keys
- the ability to remove the internet cache
- enable in-browser “open with” feature.
- many other changes and improvements.
The app is free to download but to enable unlimited video uploads cost $1.49 via in-app purchase and to remove adds another $1.29 purchase. This is due to the server cost of processing video before upload.
