Market research company Gfk BiH reports that 6.8% of Bosnians use Windows Phones, making it the second most popular OS in the country.

39.5% of Bosnians use smartphones, of which the vast majority (87.7%) use Android.

This was followed by Windows Phone with 6.8% of the installed base, iOS in 3rd with 4.2% and Blackberry with 0.3%.

Windows Phones have been particularly popular in Eastern Europe, with high market shares in countries such as Poland. It remains to be seen how Microsoft’s strategy to retrench from the market will affect their performance there.
