At its developer conference Build 2016, Microsoft announced major features for Xbox One. The Anniversary Update, which will be released for free of charge for Windows 10 users this Summer, the company says, will transform your Xbox One gaming console.

“Of course, this update will come to your Xbox One,” Terry Myerson said. “Now it brings all of your Windows applications into your living room and enabling you to turn any retail Xbox One into a devkit.” This will allow anyone who owns a retail unit to develop applications for the Xbox One console.
