Australian blog Peters Kitchen (which is not in  fact about cooking) reports that they have stumbled across a working Nokia Lumia 900 display unit in an Optus store in Australia, and were able to confirm the handset was running the latest version of Windows Phone Tango, OS Version: 7.10.8773.98.

They were also able to confirm the handset, which has not yet been formally launched on Optus Australia, is coming with WIFI Internet Sharing built-in, a feature Australians have been waiting on for a while.

If your local Optus store does not have the handset in stock yet, Peter is also able to report that large Australian retail chain Harvey Norman does, with handsets being in stock in most major metropolitan centres, where it will be retailing for $699 Australian.
