Update: Microsoft confirmed ReCore: Definitive Edition. It’s going to be a free upgrade for those who already own the game. The title is also coming to Xbox Game Pass soon including a few other games.

ReCore: Definitive Edition is up for preorder through the Microsoft Store. The title is expected to be a free update for those who already purchased it but if you want to buy it it’s going cost you $20. The game released for $40 so this is a substantial discount. Hopefully all the frame rate problems and other issues have been fixed.

The description for ReCore: Definitive Edition reads, “As one of the last remaining humans, forge friendships with courageous robotic companions and lead them on an epic adventure through a mysterious dynamic world. Includes the new Eye of Obsidian adventure and T8-NK Corebot frame.” I wonder what the new Eye of Obsidian adventure is. Hopefully it’ll tie the story of the campaign together because the ending was somewhat of a letdown.

As was leaked a few days ago, ReCore: Definitive Edition is coming to Xbox One on August 29. That’s what the Microsoft Store says too. We can’t wait to see what changes await the main game. It’s interesting to note that there isn’t a 4K logo on the ReCore: Definitive Edition cover as it just says HDR and Xbox One X Enhanced. I guess the title won’t be in 4K on Xbox One X? Maybe just 1080p 60 FPS? We’ll have to wait and see.
