It looks like Oculus is having a pretty bad week as the company “accidentally” added privacy-focused jokes on the inside of the Touch controllers. The company’s CEO Nate Mitchell acknowledged the mistake on Twitter. He also confirmed that these jokes were meant for prototypes and were never supposed to go into production.

According to Nate, most of the jokes took a jab at privacy which is ironic since Oculus’s patent company Facebook is not good when it comes to privacy. The so-called easter eggs include “This Space For Rent”,”?Big Brother is Watching?”, “Hi iFixit! We See You!?” and “?The Masons Were Here?”. Nate also apologized for the mistake and said it was inappropriate and should have never made it to the public. He also said that Oculus has fixed the production process to make sure this doesn’t happen again.

Facebook has been under fire recently for its attitude towards privacy. The company, on several occasions, compromised user data. This happened at the worst possible moment for Oculus as well, since the company is planning to ship Oculus Quest and Rift S.
