Rovio has tweeted, in response to a question if Angry Birds will be coming to Windows Phone 7 soon, that it will not be coming “this year” as “it takes a lot of work to do WP7”.

There have been some rumours that the game, which is coming to the Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3, and also to low power Android smartphones, and already exists on iPhone, Symbian, Android and Palm webOS, will also be coming to Windows Phone 7 on December 6th.

Given the wide-spread number of platforms the game already exist on the claim that “it takes a lot of work to do WP7” appear rather specious, and I would suggest to Rovio that their rather stupid game is going to be pretty out of fashion in 2011.
