Microsoft has released a new Xbox One build to its preview users. This preview build includes bug fixes related to Guide, Xbox Live and improvements for background music apps. Once the update is available, you can update by launching the Guide and navigating to All Settings > System > Console info & updates.

OS version released: rrs1_xbox_rel_1608.160901-1913

Available: 6:00PM PDT 9/3 (1:00 AM GMT 5/9)

Xbox Live

  • Resolved an issue that routed users back to BDE after successful Xbox Live Gold purchases.

Background Music

  • This build contains performance optimization for background music apps.

Guide

  • Resolved an issue that cause some users to experience guide crashes.

Last month, Microsoft released the latest system update for Xbox One which brought Cortana on Xbox One, Background Music for music apps like Pandora, combined Xbox Store and Windows Store for a single cohesive experience across devices and more. Microsoft will be soon releasing new features like Clubs on Xbox Live, Looking for Group (LFG) on Xbox Live and Arena on Xbox Live for Xbox Preview members.
