More pictures of the supposed Sony Ericsson Windows Phone 7 prototype handset has popped up on a Chinese blog, clearly taken at the same session as the first leaked picture.  These show a device clearly labelled as a prototype not for sale, and shows an attractive, large-screened and relatively thin slider.

The UI is clearly from a very old build of Windows Phone 7, and it has been suggested by some of our readers that this may be a scrapped handset after Microsoft and Sony Ericsson could not come to an agreement around Xbox Live after Mobile World Congress 2010. Sony Ericsson was after all one of the announced launch partners at the time.

In fact we have a report from June 2010 of a device called the Sony Ericsson Julie, which was said to feature a 4 inch screen like the SE X10, a sliding QWERTY keyboard and a 1 Ghz processor, standard for the Windows Phone 7 platform.

On the other hand we have had recent reports that Sony Ericsson is still working on a Windows Phone 7 handset, and what would be easier than to resurrect a mothballed project?
