With the Windows Store becoming the Microsoft Store, the scope of the app has also increased from beyond just apps to the full range of products offered by Microsoft’s online store, including hardware and devices.

It appears part of this will also be a dedicated Surface Store, selling tablets, laptops and accessories.

The dedicated section was discovered by Microsoft watcher WalkingCat, who posted the magic link on Twitter.

The link is most easily activated by pasting ms-windows-store://navigatetopage/?PageName=ShopSurface  into the address bar in Edge.

The page works much as expected, suggesting it may not be long before the feature launches.

Of course, the real question is if Microsoft will now start recommending a new Surface in the Start menu or not … 😉
