danger_signThe::Unwired reports that Microsoft is warning users against using the recently released ChevronWP7 NoDo update tool.

According to Microsoft the ChevronWP7.Updater may well be successful in upgrading your phone to NoDo, but will place your Windows Phone 7 into a state where it cannot receive regular updates in the future.

The only solution would then be to re-flash back to a shipped ROM.

In possibly a related note, official NoDo updates continue to roll out worldwide, with O2 UK and India getting official update notifications.

Will our readers heed the warning and wait for the official update, or continue to use community-provided tools and potentially become reliant on them as the only (possibly faster) route to updates? Let us know below.

Thanks StaticPlaya for the tip.
