Microsoft : Now 270,000 apps in the Windows Phone Store

At Worldwide Partner Conference, Microsoft today highlighted the Windows Phone momentum to its partners. Microsoft said that Windows Phone is the fastest growing phone OS with 91% YoY growth and ranks No.2 in 14 markets. Microsoft also said that Windows Phone shipments are more than iPhone in 24 markets. He also 12 million Lumia 520 devices are activated since launch.
For developers, Windows Phone saw 4B app downloads and counting with 440% increase in monthly paid app revenue since launch.
The numbers show a slight acceleration of growth in the Windows Phone store – hopefully Microsoft will not pull the rug from under developers again like they did at the end of 2012.
