We have heard numerous rumours that Nokia will continue to sell Windows Phone 7.x handsets even after the introduction of Windows phone 8.

Those just became confirmed, with the Nokia Lumia 510 passing through the Chinese telecom certification board.

The handset has the following specs:

  • 4 “LCD screen,
  • 5MP
  • 120.7 x 64.9 x 11.51 (mm), 129 (g)
  • GSM-WCDMA-HSPA
  • 800MHz MSM7227A + 256MB RAM + Windows Phone 7.5/7.8

The specs are pretty similar to the Nokia Lumia 610, except for the larger screen, as is often demanded by the Chinese market.

The handset should ensure that support for Windows Phone 7.8 continues for some time by Nokia and hopefully Microsoft also.

See some more pictures after the break.
