Pocketnow has a convincing theory which posits that the HTC 7 Pro is destined for Verizon’s network.

The theory is based on a FCC application for the PC93100, clearly a CDMA HTC 7 Pro.  HTC’s user agent designation ties the PC93100 to the MWP6885, which is Verizon’s designation for Windows Phone 7 handsets.

The last link is HTC’s trademark application for the HTC Pro, suggesting more that just random certification of the device is taking place.

Any suggestion of a Windows Phone 7 handset on Verizon is clearly great news, but with not a single handset showing up yet, despite the long-awaited HTC 7 Trophy, we should probably not hold our collective breaths.
