Get ‘Monsters, Inc.’ for free by connecting Microsoft account with Disney Movies Anywhere

Microsoft today announced that users can get a free digital copy of “Monsters, Inc.” movie by just connecting their Microsoft account with Disney Movies Anywhere. Once connected, Monsters movie will show up in their collection. From collection, users can play it across Windows, Windows Phone and Xbox devices, or online. This is a limited time offer and it expires after Sept. 7.
When you connect your Microsoft account with Disney Movies Anywhere, all of the eligible movies purchased from other connected providers will be added to your Microsoft Movies & TV collection, where you can view them across your Windows, Windows Phone and Xbox devices or on the Web.
It works vice versa also. You can buy eligible Disney movies from Microsoft, and your movies will be automatically added to your Disney Movies Anywhere collection, where you can view them using an app from another connected provider.
How to connect?
- Step 1: Sign in: Sign into your Microsoft account. If you have used Microsoft services in the past — like Xbox, Outlook.com, OneDrive, Skype, or Windows Phone — you already have a Microsoft account. Make sure you use the same Microsoft account on all the devices you want to share with.
- Step 2: Connect Your Accounts: Go to DisneyMoviesAnywhere.com and create an account. If you have one already link it here and choose “Microsoft” as your provider.
- Step 3: Enjoy: Enjoy all of your previously-purchased Disney, Disney•Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars movies, or discover new movies in the Microsoft Store.
