At Build 2016 today, Microsoft announced that Facebook will be bringing its Facebook Audience network feature for developers and business users to Windows 10 devices.

Here’s what Facebook’s audience network is in a nutshell

The Audience Network is a collection of mobile apps where Facebook advertisers can serve ads using the same targeting and measurement tools that they use on Facebook. Essentially, running ads in the Audience Network extends an advertiser’s reach beyond Facebook and into mobile apps.

It is a revenue maximisation tool for developers which allows them to use Facebook’s ad tools to serve ads in mobile and pc apps.

It will ultimately be used by developers in addition to Microsoft’s ad tools. It should help attract Windows developers to create more apps and gain more revenue.
