Despite Microsoft’s supposed strict chassis specifications we know not all Windows Phone 7 phones are the same, especially when comparing the ones using NAND memory and MicroSD cards

Robin Varga from the Compute Shader 5 benchmark for PC, Compute Mark,  fame has now released the first real benchmarking suite for Windows Phone 7.

WP BENCH tests your CPU, GPU, memory, storage, display and battery and gives you solid numbers on:

  • CPU single threaded performance
  • CPU multithreaded performance
  • Memory read/write speed
  • Storage read/write speed
  • GPU performance
  • Display color reproduction
  • Battery life tester

The software is free from Marketplace.

Since it is free this thread may be a good place to collect results.
