BeyondPod is a free, open source, RSS feed reader and podcast manager (podcatcher) for Windows Mobile devices. It provides a convenient way to play downloaded podcasts using a built in media player with tracking of played time, easy cleanup of played podcasts and many others features. You can subscribe to RSS feeds, read the content, download and play podcasts – all in a single application.
The integrated podcast player tracks automatically what podcasts you have listened to and will restart where you left of for multiple podcasts. You can also configure BeyondPod to use an external media player. You can schedule feed updates and podcast downloads daily at given time, with fine granular control of which feeds download when. Integration with Google Reader allows you to easily to sync your Reader subscriptions.
Version 3 brings “kinetic” (iPhone style) finger scrolling, improved the support for VGA devices, screen transitions between some of the views and a lot more.
Both Windows Mobile Professional and Standard are supported and is absolutely free and the source code is freely available.
